What you didn’t say (Day 2)

el

Your story ended
Before your thoughts
Could freely flow
To say it all.

As if the end
Was made of words
The kind of words
You could not say.

I never knew
Behind that veil
There was no face,
I never knew
Inside your heart
You hid a pain
I couldn’t bear.

What you didn’t say
Was not your fault,
What you didn’t say
Your heart had hid
Inside a vault.

It was pure love,
The kind that’s made
Of secret codes
Inside our veins.

We all hide a lot more than we should and share a lot less than we must. Nice poem!
